WHEN BUILDING YOUR OWN HOME YOU SHOULD PLAN TO GET ADVICE FROM PROFESSIONALS THAT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! YOU SHOULD BE WILLING TO PAY A FEE FOR THAT INFORMATION, TOO. THIS INFORMATION IS WHAT MAKES THE PROFESSIONAL THE CACHE OF USEFUL INFORMATION THAT HE/SHE IS.
If you are building your own place you are probably doing it to save money, but a few hundred dollars or even a few thousand dollars spent ahead of time can save you thousands of dollars in changes to your home later and possible even your or your family's live! Value cannot be placed on that!
A perfect example it our weekend trip to the Davis Caves Earth Fest 2009 to consult on where we are right now. The fire escape upgrade mentioned on the Floor Plans page of this site was a result of that trip. Securing the safety of our two boys was worth FAR MORE than the $850 we spent that weekend and the time we took to tour the 7 homes on display! |
